The Fürstenberg is a small passenger ship that sank in Berlin in 2010 and has been restored in Hohen Neuendorf since it was lifted .

history

As Schloss Jägerhof , the Fürstenberg was built in 1939 at the Stauf shipyard in Königswinter am Rhein for the Rheinische Bahngesellschaft AG in Düsseldorf . The ship, which is approved for 200 passengers, was christened on August 16, 1939. At the time it had a MAN diesel engine with 156 hp. In 1976 the ship was sold to Boppard . Under the name Gedeonseck , it was approved and used for journeys with 154 passengers on the Rhine. From 1982 to 1990 the ship was under the name Limberg in Sasbach am Rhein for the owner Hans-Jürgen Woditsch. Then the Berlin shipping company Bethke bought it and in 1991 the ship was transferred to Berlin . After a renovation, it was given the name Fürstenberg . The passenger ship received a new engine with 120 hp and was approved for 100 passengers (50 in the saloon, 50 on the sun deck). However, since 1991 the Fürstenberg was often unused in Berlin-Tegel .

2001 - again for the shipping company Bethke - the ship was used with the departure points of the eponymous Fürstenberg and Oranienburg . The trips now led the ship over the Havel . In 2008 the ship became the property of the Unger shipping company, who wanted to convert it into a themed ship ( Viking ship ) under the name Haitabu . These plans were not implemented.

In 2010 the Fürstenberg sank in Berlin-Spandau . The Hohen Neuendorfer Marina Havelbaude picked up the ailing ship and bought it. Since 2011 the ship has been reconstructed by the Marina Havelbaude in Hohen Neuendorf in Brandenburg . The conversion includes a shortening of the hull to 19.95 meters so that a skipper's license for inland shipping B is not required to guide the vehicle.
