The FC Kilikia Yerevan ( Armenian : Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Կիլիկիա Երեւան), Futbolayin Akumb Kilikia Yerevan was an Armenian football club from the capital Yerevan .

history

The club split from FC Pyunik Yerevan , as it was called from 1995 to 1999. Previously he was also known as the Homenetmen from 1992 to 1995 . As hometmen, they shared the Armenian football championship with FC Schirak Gyumri in 1992 , while as Pjunik they were champions in both 1996 and 1997. But the Armenian Football Association regards these championships as a win for the current Pyunik Yerevan. In 1999 they changed their name to Kilikia and after only one season they were relegated from the top division after not paying the entry fee. In 2003 they managed to get promoted again and have since finished the league in sixth and fifth. With fifth place in 2005, they earned a starting place in the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2006. In 2007 they were relegated to ninth place in the top division.
