history
FC Langenegg was founded in January 1962. 1975 Langenegg was champion of the Bregenzerwald League . After years in the lower house, one rose to the 1st national class in 1996 . In 2005 he was able to move up to the fifth-class state league for the first time . In 2006 the real estate company ZIMA became the main sponsor of FC Langenegg.
In the 2006/07 season Langenegg finished the season in tenth place in the table. In the 2007/08 season you could improve to seventh place. Also in the 2008/09 season, the club was in the lower midfield of the league, they ended the season in ninth place in the table. This placement was also held in the 2009/10 season. In the 2010/11 season they finished tenth in the national league. In the 2011/12 season they finished in sixth place with the best place in the table to date, Langenegg was ten points short of a promotion place.
The 2012/13 season ended the club in eighth place in the table. This placement was also held in the 2013/14 season. In the 2014/15 season, under coach Erik Orie , they were able to become runner-up in the regional league behind the Dornbirn sports club and thus for the first time to move up to the fourth-class Vorarlbergliga . The first season in the fourth-highest division ended in fifth place in the table. In November 2016 Eric Orie left the club and moved to FC Dornbirn 1913 , whereupon Peter Jakubec became the new coach. Under Jakubec, Langenegg was champion of the Vorarlbergliga in the 2016/17 season, but because the sports field was too small, they couldn't get promoted to the regional league.
After the 2016/17 season Jakubec left Langenegg and Klaus Nussbaumer took over as coach. Under Nussbaumer you could defend the title in the 2017/18 season, this time you also made use of the promotion rights. As a result, the Langenegg square was enlarged. In the first season in the regional league they finished 15th in the table. After the 2018/19 season, the Regionalliga West was dissolved and they moved into the new Vorarlberg elite league . In the 2019/20 season you will take part in the ÖFB Cup for the first time, where you will meet the second division SK Austria Klagenfurt in the first round .
