history

The club was created in 1999 from the merger of FV Arlen, founded in 1906, and FC Rielasingen, founded in 1919 . After the Second World War , FC Rielasingen was initially re-established as Spvgg Rielasingen and played under this name in the seasons 1946 and 1946/47 in the East relay of the upper class South Baden , which formed the highest division in Baden in 1946 and the second division in 1946/47 .

In the 2015/16 season, 1. FC Rielasingen-Arlen was runner-up in the Association League South Baden , but failed in the promotion relegation to the Oberliga due to the away goals rule at TSG Weinheim .

In 2017, after beating the defending champions FC 08 Villingen in the round of 16, the club won the South Baden Cup for the first time in its history with a 6-1 win at the seventh division VfR Hausen and thus qualified for the DFB Cup for the first time . There he met the reigning cup winner Borussia Dortmund in the first round and was eliminated 4-0. In the 2018/19 season, the club was promoted to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga as champions of the Südbaden Association League.

In 2020, the club won the Südbadischer Vereinspokal for the second time with a 3-0 win against Oberachern SV Oberachern and qualified for the DFB Cup. The opponent in the first round of the DFB Cup is Holstein Kiel from the 2nd Bundesliga.
