The FK Backa (officially on Serbian : Фудбалски клуб Бачка - ФК Бачка, Fudbalski klub Bačka - FK Backa ) is a Serbian football club from Backa Palanka , in the Super league play, the highest league in the Serbian football.
history
The association was founded in 1945. It changed its name several times in its early history and was given its current name on August 1, 1948. FK Bačka plays in the Slavko Maletin Vava stadium , which has a capacity of 5500 and was officially opened on July 7, 1951. Bačka played in one of the sections of the Yugoslav second division for the first time in the 1959/60 season, and one of the greatest successes is the promotion to the single-track second division in the 1988/89 season. Overall, FK Bačka spent 17 seasons in a lower league. One of the greatest successes of Bačka was reaching the quarter-finals of the Yugoslav Football Cup in the 1968/69 season, when they lost 2-1 to Hajduk Split in extra time. From 2004 to 2010 the club played in the third-rate Srpska Liga Vojvodina , after relegation in the 2009/10 season they played in the Vojvodina Liga West. In the 2012/13 season, Bačka reached first place in the Vojvodina League and thus returned after three years in the Srpska Liga Vojvodina.
