FSN is a right-wing extremist media portal from Upper Palatinate with a nationwide effect. It was founded in 2006 by the neo-Nazi Patrick Schröder and 2012 to watch the live TV streaming channel FSN.TV expanded. In 2014, the Bavarian State Center for New Media prohibited streaming operations due to a lack of a license. In the meantime, however, FSN is producing and streaming programs again. Schröder since 2004 NPD - politicians and in the scene of free comradeships active.

Content

The audio and video content was aimed particularly at young people and offered a mixture of right-wing rock and political topics. Scene musicians or right-wing party officials were often included in the live broadcasts. In the programs appeared u. a. NPD federal chief Udo Pastörs and NPD press spokesman Frank Franz . FSN listeners could then ask questions to these people. The Süddeutsche Zeitung called the program “a mixture of fear of foreign infiltration, calculated provocation and stupidity”.

"Our goal here is the gentle, painless and as entertaining as possible introduction to our basic political attitude," said Schröder in the NPD party sheet " German Voice ". Regarding the distribution of right-wing music, he told the Süddeutsche: “To distribute in the school yard is expensive and is becoming more and more difficult. We just stick a few stickers for our radio to introduce young people to politically alternative music. "

Between 300 and 8000 people tuned in every week, Schröder told the Süddeutsche Zeitung in 2013. The Bavarian Constitutional Protection Office assumed that FSN reached right-wing extremists “far beyond Bavaria's borders”.

“Radio FSN” is characterized by five streams that were divided into the categories “NSBM” ( National Socialist Black Metal ), “ Hatecore ”, “ Ballads ” and “ Rechtsrock ” as well as an ISDN stream at the start of the broadcast. After the site was online for a long time, the neo-Nazi name references were removed. A small social network was later added to the radio offering . Registered users can take part in chats here and see a news column mainly fed with NPD messages.

operator

The media project from the Upper Palatinate was run by Patrick Schröder (* 1983) and a student.

Schröder entered a free comradeship in 2002 and joined the NPD in 2004. There he held various offices and was u. a. District chairman in Weiden / Oberpfalz-Tirschenreuth. Schröder founded the currently inactive comradeship "Resistance Weiden". In 2008 Schröder completed an internship in the NPD parliamentary group in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania under Udo Pastörs. He became a member of the NPD state board of Bavaria and ran for the state election in Bavaria in 2008 , in 2009 ( constituency of Traunstein ) and in 2013 for the federal election. In 2009 Schröder founded the right-wing fashion label "Ansgar Aryan".

Although he belongs to the camaraderie scene, Schröder had problems with the Free Network South, which was banned in 2014 . There are many organized there who are primarily concerned with “coming across as Nazi-like as possible”. Shouting “National Socialism now!” At a demonstration is not his style, he told the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

development

Initially, Radio FSN was integrated into the homepage of the inactive comradeship "Resistance Weiden". The "Interactive Online TV" has been on the air with a live stream about once a week for two hours since August 19, 2012.

In 2010 the station was attacked by the 27th chaos communication congress . Due to technical problems with normal access, the station was sometimes only available for two weeks a month.

Schröder planned the right-wing rock concert “Live H8 II” in Scheinfeld in Middle Franconia ( Neustadt ad Aisch district ) for May 24, 2014 and promoted the concert at FSN. However, the event was banned by the security authorities.

On July 27, 2015, the FSN.TV program dealt with, among other things, anti-Israeli protests in connection with the Gaza conflict . Patrick Schröder showed the Hitler salute in front of the camera. He was charged with using the symbols of unconstitutional organizations. He was sentenced by the Weiden District Court in November 2014 to a fine of 90 daily rates of 35 euros each. On April 10, 2015 the appeal hearing took place at the regional court Weiden id Opf, where the penalty was increased to 120 daily rates of 35 euros each. Schröder appealed and the proceedings are still ongoing.

In 2014, the Bavarian State Center for New Media prohibited Schröder "from organizing and linearly distributing the audiovisual media offering FSN.TV or another editorially designed audiovisual offering via the Internet or other transmission capacities for more than 500 simultaneous users". In addition to the lack of a license, the prohibition was justified by the fact that a control of possible hazards, e.g. B. the protection of minors, is not guaranteed. On the website for which Schröder was responsible , he announced that, on the advice of a lawyer, he would wait for the verdict of the court in the main proceedings before broadcasting further programs.

For a few months, FSN-TV was then only broadcast as a podcast. In the meantime, the programs have been streamed live again via the “ YouNow ” live stream portal . FSN currently uses the free US service Ustream (as of 2/2016).

In November 2014, Schröder called on the FSN Facebook page to take part in the “ Hooligans against Salafists ” (HoGeSa) demonstration on November 15, 2014 in Hanover.

For the last weekend in July 2017 he organized the right-wing rock concert Rock for Identity in Themar , which was planned for 750 participants and against which the Hildburghausen district did not want to complain, but wanted to impose conditions.

Since summer 2017, FSN has been in conflict with the Nazi rapper Julian Fritsch ("MaKss Damage"). This was criticized by Schröder and his co-moderator Daniel “Vendetta” Franz in a video for posting a Facebook post against what, in his opinion, was too moderate an identity movement . Fritsch reacted by shooting an elaborately staged disstrack video (“FCK F $ N”) against Schröder and Franz in the street where Schröder lives , with several masked people . In it, he accuses them of having no ideological, but only financial interest in the scene.

reception

"Schröder, who often calls his show" our little Fascho broadcast ", is anything but boring for many listeners. To operate a radio under the motto" Hearing makes you free ", Hitler pictures and photos of Scheinfeld-ist-bunt - To show the demo and to doubt in every second sentence that the NSDAP was really that bad - whoever gets away with it triumphs over the rule of law. Day after day, week after week. " wrote Charlotte Theile in the Süddeutsche Zeitung 2013 about Patrick Schröder and FSN.

Johannes Hartl and Felix M. Steiner assign Patrick Schröder to a new generation of right-wing extremist activists: "Due to the considerable changes in the extreme right at the beginning of the 2000s, a new market for an enterprising young generation of neo-Nazis has established itself. With Daniel Weigl and Patrick Schröder are two activists from Bavaria who have worked on modernizing the scene or are still working. " Time online fault indicator

Patrick Schröder was the protagonist of many media reports: the Süddeutsche Zeitung dedicated a portrait to him, as did the US American “ Rolling Stone ”, and SPIEGEL TV made a report about him.
