The steam locomotive series SB 16b was a tender locomotive series of the Südbahngesellschaft (SB), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company .
As a replacement for the SB 19 series, the SB procured eight 2'B locomotives from the Floridsdorf locomotive factory from 1885 to 1888 . Although 120 km / h was reached on test drives, the maximum permissible speed was only 80 km / h. After all, the machines carried 150 t on a 7.7 ‰ gradient from Wr. Neustadt to Gloggnitz at 60 km / h.
Two locomotives were stationed in Innsbruck , six in Marburg an der Drau .
After 1924 all locomotives came to Italy . Seven were given the series designation FS 513 .
