The steam locomotive series SB old 14 were express - Tender locomotive of the Austrian Southern Railway .

The large fixed axle base of the 18 series  , which caused problems in the tight radii of the Semmering Railway , prompted the Südbahn to order 18 units of a similar series from Maschinenfabrik Esslingen , in which the fixed running axle was replaced by a two-axle bogie. The machines were 1860 / 61 delivered and received the designation number  14 (from 1864 Series  19 ). 1864 gave the locomotive factory of StEG and the Wiener Neustadt locomotive factory further twelve pieces, those between 1870 and 1873 was followed by 25 pieces from the Wiener Neustadt locomotive factory with a larger boiler pressure.

Together with series 18, series 19 was responsible for express train traffic on the southern line. When it was replaced by rows 17a, b, c, d in these services  , it was used in passenger train services.

After nationalization in 1924 , the BBÖ received 29 pieces, which they classified as  116.01–24 and 116.101–105 (last delivery) and  retired by 1930 and 1932 . 20 units came to the FS in Italy as series  512 .
