Fabian Schnabel (born December 18, 1993 in Passau ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Schnabel began his career in his hometown near Batavia Passau and then went to 1. FC Passau . In 2009 he moved to Austria for SV Ried , for which he also played in the academy. In May 2011 he played for the first time for SPG Neuhofen / Ried , the second team of SV Ried, in the away game against SV Traun in the regional league . In the summer of 2014 he moved to SV Grieskirchen . For Grieskirchen he scored ten goals in 29 games and also gave five assists. For the 2014/15 season he moved to the regional league club Union Vöcklamarkt , with whom, however, he got into the relegation battle.

In January 2015 he joined the league competitor FC Blau-Weiß Linz . With the Linzers he was able to become champion of the Regionalliga Mitte in the 2015/16 season and thus advance to professional football. He made his debut in the second-highest league on the fifth match day of the 2016/17 season against SC Austria Lustenau , when he came on for Thomas Goiginger in stoppage time.

In January 2017 it was awarded to the regional league team Union St. Florian .

For the 2017/18 season he returned to Germany, where he joined the regional league team SV Schalding-Heining .

In January 2018 he moved to third division club FSV Zwickau , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2018. At the FSV, the native of Passau was only able to play a reserve role. He scored one goal in six missions. After four months it was over again.

For the 2018/19 season, Schnabel returned to SV Schalding-Heining after half a year in League 3 at FSV Zwickau .
