Tescari began his career with operations in FIS races and in the European Cup . At the Junior World Championships in 1987 in Sälen , he just missed a medal. In the 1990/91 season he was third in the European Cup slalom classification. He took his first World Cup points on December 10, 1991 when he was 15th in the Sestriere slalom . Almost a year later, on November 29, 1992, he surprisingly won the World Cup slalom at the same location.
After this win, Tescari was hailed as the “new Alberto Tomba ” by the Italian media , but he was never able to reach his potential due to multiple injuries and a high failure rate. Although he had over a dozen places in the top ten, a fourth place in January 1998 in Schladming remained his second-best result. At the Winter Olympics in 1994 and 1998 Tescari took part in slalom, but did not finish both times. At four world championships, in which he participated from 1993 to 1999, he only crossed the finish line once in eleventh place in the 1996 slalom . At the end of the 2000/01 season he resigned from top-class sport.
Tescari is married to the former ski racer Morena Gallizio .
