Morena Gallizio Tescari (born January 18, 1974 in Bozen as Morena Gallizio ) is a former Italian ski racer from Avelengo in South Tyrol .

biography

In 1988 Gallizio won the Trofeo Topolino . She celebrated her first major success at junior world championships: in 1991 she won the silver medal in slalom, followed by the silver medal in Super-G in 1992 . She was most successful at the Junior World Championships in 1993 in Monte Campione / Colere , where she won gold medals in slalom and combined as well as the silver medal in giant slalom.

In the World Cup she achieved a total of three podium places. On January 24, 1993 she was third in the slalom in Haus im Ennstal , in March 1993 she was second in the Hafjell combination . On December 12, 1993, another second place followed in the slalom in Veysonnaz .

At major events there was just not enough medals. At the 1993 World Championships in Morioka , she finished fifth in slalom as a 19-year-old. In 1997 in Sestriere she was fourth in the combined and seventh in the slalom. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , she finished fourth in the combination and fifth in the Super-G. In 1998 in Nagano she was fifth in the combination.

After the 1999/2000 season , Gallizio ended her sports career. She is married to the former ski racer Fabrizio Tescari .
