The Fachschule für Technik Kassel eV is a non-profit organization in the city of Kassel in North Hesse , whose members and board are made up of representatives from North Hesse's industry . The association was founded in 1950 by industrialists in the region to meet the enormous training and qualification needs of those years and to promote further training in industry and medium- sized businesses.
history
A great shortage of technical specialists and a large number of late returnees urging further training led to technical courses being held in 1948 under the direction of Friedrich Schwank and Hugo Sonnenberg. On May 9, 1950, the evening school for technology was opened, which at that time was still part of the Volkshochschule Kassel, with the responsibility of the city of Kassel and the Kassel Chamber of Commerce and Industry a year later .
On April 1, 1958, the evening school finally left the association of the Volkshochschule Kassel, which led to the fact that the culture commission approved a contract between the city of Kassel and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce to establish a legal association.
In 1969, the evening school was recognized as a state-approved substitute school by the district president and was finally renamed the Fachschule für Technik Kassel eV two years later.
Fields of activity
In addition to the master’s courses in the fields of electrical engineering , plastics / rubber , mechatronics and metal as well as the logistics master , the technical school offers various specialist business training courses as well as advanced training for technical business administration . Courses can also be taken in the area of quality management . In addition, there are courses on the subject of training and coaching and the specialist course for trainer aptitude according to the AEVO .
