Since the late 1990s, Fadesa expanded to Morocco , Portugal and Eastern European countries such as Poland (here Fadesa was involved in the construction of the Miasteczko Wilanów district of Warsaw ), Hungary and Romania . In Saidia , Morocco, the company invested in a tourism project.

The company was a sponsor of the Deportivo La Coruña football club .

On July 15, 2008, Martinsa Fadesa filed for bankruptcy.
