Fatoş Topaç , actually Fadime Topaç , (born March 10, 1965 in Yeşilyurt , Turkey ) is an elected member of the Berlin House of Representatives ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

Topaç came to Berlin-Moabit at the age of six and moved to Berlin-Kreuzberg at the age of 18 . After receiving the advanced technical college entrance qualification from the Anna Freud Oberschule in 1987, she studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Social Work and Social Pedagogy in Berlin . During her studies, she worked as a family helper and received her diploma as a social pedagogue and social worker in 1990.

In 1994/95 she was given a teaching position at her former university, which has since been renamed Alice Salomon University . In addition, until 1999 she provided educational counseling for non-German young people, parents and companies and provided training places. She then headed a project on "Training management and trainer qualification for foreign companies" at SPI Servicegesellschaft, a spin-off of the Social Education Institute Berlin of the AWO , until 2003 . This was followed by other activities in the field of qualification and integration of migrants, including at the Senate Commissioner for Integration and Migration and at the Women's Computer Center Berlin .

politics

Fatoş Topaç joined the Berlin Greens in 2006 . From 2011 to 2016 she was a member of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg District Assembly and was chairwoman of the Committee for Social Affairs, Employment and Citizen Services. In the 2016 election to the Berlin House of Representatives, she was elected to the House of Representatives via the state list. She is the spokesperson for social policy and care policy and is a member of the Presidium of the House of Representatives.
