Faggenbach

The Faggenbach (also called Fagge , especially in the upper part also Gepatschbach ) is a right tributary of the Inn in Tyrol , which drains the Kaunertal .

The Fagge rises from the Gepatschferner south-east of the Weißseespitze , flows through the Kaunertal in a northerly, then in a westerly direction and flows into the Inn at Prutz at an altitude of 859 m. It has a length of approx. 31 km. The Gepatsch reservoir , which is fed by the Faggenbach and its tributaries and by passages from mountain streams from neighboring valleys, was created on the upper reaches . The water is led into the power house in Prutz via a 13.2 km long pressure water pipe.

The most important feeders are the Riffler Bach, the Kaiserseebach (into the Gepatschspeicher) and the Fissladbach from the left and the Verpeilbach from the right.

The catchment area of the Fagge is around 230 km², of which 23.1 km² (around 10%) are glaciated (as of 1998). The highest point in the catchment area is the Watzespitze at 3532  m above sea level. A.

The flag shows water quality classes I-II throughout the course .
