Falk & Sons is a band project by the music producer Dieter Falk and his sons Paul Falk and Max Falk.

Band history

The former church musician Dieter Falk had previously produced artists such as Pur , Monrose and Patricia Kaas and was nominated for the Echo several times . A theater dramaturge persuaded him to perform with his two sons Max and Paul Falk in the Apollo Theater in Siegen . Max Falk had already worked as a percussionist and drummer on various albums of his father . Paul Falk himself works as a voice actor and is a pianist and singer. After the appearance, the Falk & Sons project was founded.

The debut album Celebrate Bach was released on October 28, 2011 . Musically, compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach were mixed with blues , swing , rock and pop rhythms . A year later, on November 2, 2012, the album was released as a Christmas Edition . The original version of the album was accompanied by the Christmas carols Oh come oh Ye Faithful , From heaven high , I stand at your crib here and O you happy . 25,000 records of their first album were sold. Falk & Sons played mainly at church events, but also at the 2012 Jazz Rally.

In 2013 they took part in the jazz sampler Verve & Blue Note Today 2013 by Verve and Blue Note Records with the Handel composition Largo . On October 11, 2013, the regular second album Toccata was released with variations by Handel , Bach and Albinoni .
