Farideh Akashe-Böhme
Farideh Akashe-Böhme (born January 31, 1951 in Chaharmahal , Iran ; † November 3, 2008 in Darmstadt , Germany ) was an Iranian-German author.
Life
She spent her youth in Abadan and Isfahan . Her father arranged a marriage for her. After graduating from high school, she followed her husband, who was studying in Darmstadt. She got a divorce under German law and studied German, politics, history and sociology. Her master's thesis dealt with the depiction of the Iranian revolution in the press; Her dissertation examined the experiences of foreignness among women, especially among migrant women. In 2000 she published the story of her childhood and youth under the title The Castle of Chah Barrdi .
Farideh Akashe-Böhme was married to the philosopher Gernot Böhme and had a daughter. She worked as a freelance writer with a focus on gender , migration and Islam .
