Farzad Abdollahi ( listen ? / I PersianAudio file / audio sample فرزاد عبداللهی; * October 27, 1990 in Meyaneh ) is an Iranian Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 80 kilograms.

Abdollahi achieved his first international success at the 2007 Asian Junior Championships in Amman . He won silver in the class up to 68 kilograms. In the following year he was in Henan with a final victory against Zhu Guo for the first time Asian champions in the adult division. At his first World Cup in Copenhagen in 2009 , Abdollahi reached the quarter-finals, but then lost to Steven Lopez . The year 2010 was also successful. Abdollahi repeated the title win at the Asian Championships in Astana in the class up to 74 kilograms and also won the bronze medal at the Asian Games in Guangzhou in the class up to 80 kilograms. Abdollahi achieved his greatest sporting success so far at the 2011 World Cup in Gyeongju . In the class up to 80 kilograms he moved into the semifinals, defeated Ramin Azizov there prematurely, gave Yunus Sarı no chance in the final and won his first world title.
