Zhu Guo ( Chinese 朱 国 , Pinyin Zhū Guó , born June 14, 1985 in Fuxin ) is a Chinese Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 80 kilograms.
Zhu contested his first international title fights at the 2007 World Cup in Beijing . In the class up to 78 kilograms he reached the quarter-finals, but narrowly missed a medal after a defeat against Balázs Tóth . The following year 2008 was a successful one. Zhu reached the final of the Asian Championships in Henan and won his first international medal after losing to Farzad Abdollahi with silver. At the Olympic home games in Beijing, Zhu started in the class up to 80 kilograms. After an opening win, he lost to Hadi Saei Bonehkohal in the quarterfinals , but fought his way to the small final where he defeated Aaron Cook and won the bronze medal.
After the games, Zhu didn't make it to the Chinese national team. He only started again at the 2011 Military World Cup in Rio de Janeiro , where he reached the quarter-finals.
