Fat, Ugly and Live ( English :. Fat, ugly and live ) is the first live album of the German thrash metal band Tankard . It was released in 1991.

Origin and production

After nine years of existence as a band and four studio albums as well as an EP , Tankard had their respective concerts recorded on October 8, 1990 in Frankfurt am Main and the following day in the Bochum mine . According to Andreas Geremia , they played the song Live to Dive live for the first time on the tour at the time.

The material was mixed in January 1991 by Harris Johns and the band in the Music Lab Berlin , with Karl-Ulrich Walterbach acting as executive producer . The Dark Wings company took over the release of the album . The album was released in various formats that same year, with the CD version having two exclusive bonus tracks. MG Records and Baron Music each released MC versions of the album in 1991 , and the CD was also released on August 21, 1991 in Japan via the Victor record company . In 2005 the Russian label Союз ( Soyuz ) brought another CD version onto the market. There is also a remastered edition published by Sanctuary Records .

In 2005 Tankard released their first live DVD, which follows the 1991 release entitled Fat, Ugly and Still (A) Live .

Album title

Slightly varying spellings exist for the album title. Thus, the plate is loud cover as Fat ... Ugly & Live titled, a variant that is also reflected in the Metal Archives found. The CD itself is labeled Fat, Ugly & Live and the inlay back is labeled Fat, Ugly And Live . The latter variation can also be found on the band's website without the comma. The unofficial MC version published by Baron Music in 1991 is entitled Fet Ugly and Live .

Cover

The album cover shows a standing between red curtain cloths obese pig with human-like body, gray color, bared teeth and a red Irokesenschnitt . He has a pink guitar slung over his head and is wearing a black leather jacket with a leopard-skin lining . Underneath it is dressed in a black T-shirt on which the album title can be read in the spelling Fat ... Ugly & Live . The band logo is in the upper right corner of the picture.
