The Fazanerija Stadium ( Slovenian Mestni stadion Fazanerija ; German Städtisches Stadion Fazanerija ) is a football stadium in the Slovenian town of Murska Sobota , in the north-east of the country. The stadium serves as the venue for the NŠ Mura football club .
history
Construction of a stadium began in 1934. A stadium and an outdoor swimming pool were built in the northwest of the city park . The facility was inaugurated on June 28, 1936. Initially, the field was surrounded by a 380 m long cinder track . The current sports facility in its form was created in 1983 with the construction of the main grandstand. It currently offers about 600 seats and a press box and VIP - boxes . It has been rebuilt a few times over the years. In 1994 and 2001, the north and south stands were renovated, including a roof. The east strand offers standing room in the open air. In 1994 the first leg and in 1995 the second leg of the Slovenian Football Cup were played in the newly renovated Fazanerija Stadium .

International matches
Two games by the Slovenian national football team took place in Fazanerija . On June 19, 1991, the Slovenian team played in Murska Sobota in a friendly against Croatia (0-1). The Slovenian association NZS does not recognize the game because the match took place before it was founded.
