Feastem is a Finnish grindcore band from Raahe that was formed in 2005.
history
The band was founded in November 2005 by singer Kari Kallioinen, guitarist Olli Nokkala and bassist Antti Saarilampi. After hearing a few drummers, Patrik Falt joined the cast as a permanent member. In early 2006 the band played their first gig. A few months later, the first EP Psychotic Excess was recorded and released. The rest of the year the band spent with other gigs. In late spring 2007 the band recorded another EP Worthless . In December 2007 the recordings for the debut album were completed in the Finnvox Studios , with Panu Posti working as a producer. Fear in Concrete was released in autumn 2008 on the Scrotum Jus Records label. At that time the band held a two-week European tour with The Arson Project . Another tour through Europe followed in summer 2009 together with Slavebreed . The band also appeared on the Obscene Extreme . Towards the end of the year the band re-recorded their second album World Delirium with producer Posti. Petri Eskelinen was now represented in the band as a new singer. World Delirium was released by Obscene Productions in January 2011 .
style
The band plays aggressive, varied Grindcore, with influences from Thrash Metal and Crustcore being used. The music is described as a mixture of Misery Index , Deathbound , Nasum and Skitsystem .
