Deathbound is a Finnish deathgrind band from Vaasa , which was founded in 1995 under the name Twilight , changed its name to Unbound and finally gave itself its current name.
history
The band was formed in 1995 under the name Twilight. After the band released their first two demos Twilight and Melancholy of Northern Landscapes , they renamed themselves Unbound. The band then released another demo called Flames of Madness . The band then changed their name to Deathbound. In 2000 the demo Elaborate the Torture was released . The band reached a contract with Woodcut Records and released their debut album To Cure the Sane with Insanity in 2003. After the release, the group signed a contract with Dynamic Arts Records and in 2005 released the second album Doomsday Comfort there . The band also played concerts with groups like Demilich , Cult of Luna and Dismember . The next album followed in 2007 with We Deserve Much Worse . A tour with Napalm Death and The Scourger also followed . In 2009 the band recorded some new songs that appeared on a split release with Coldworker . The sound carrier was released on Power It Up Records . In 2010, Dynamic Arts Records released their fourth album with Non Compos Mentis . In February 2010 the band toured Europe with Demonical and My Own Grave .
style
The band plays a mixture of death metal and aggressive grindcore , with the speed of the songs being kept high throughout. The band is comparable to groups like Nasum , Ultrawurscht , The Arson Project and Rotten Sound .
