Federici Canal

The Federici Canal ( Spanish Canal Frederici ) is a strait in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It forms the eastern part of Dallmann Bay and separates the entire west coast of the Brabant Island from the Eastern Melchior Islands and from Gand Island . The canal leads from the open Southern Ocean to the Schollaert Canal .

Argentine scientists named him after Vicente Manuel Federici (1934–2012), participant in several Argentine Antarctic campaigns and head of the Argentine station on Deception Island and the Orcadas station on Laurie Island .
