Fedor Kolupajlo ( Russian Фёдор Сергеевич Колупайло Fyodor Sergejewitsch Kolupailo ; born May 2, 1996 in Novosibirsk ) is a German - Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the ETC Crimmitschau in the DEL2 since February 2020 .
Career
Kolupajlo started his career in 2012 with the Hanover Indians in Germany, but in the same season he switched to the league competitor, Hamburger SV . He went through many lower-class clubs in Germany and also played for Zvezda Chekhov in Russia for some time . In February 2018 he received a try-out contract with the Bayreuth Tigers , which was not extended.
Fedor Kolupajlo was granted German citizenship on December 14, 2018, which also resulted in a name change, instead of his birth name Fyodor Sergejewitsch Kolupailo, the German-Russian now bears the name Fedor Kolupajlo. With his German citizenship, he was signed by the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven from the DEL in December 2018 and made his debut on December 16, 2018 in the game against the Krefeld Pinguine .
In February 2019 Fedor Kolupajlo got a sponsorship license and thus also played for the ETC Crimmitschau . In February 2020 Kolupajlo asked for more missions and switched from the Fischtown Pinguins to the Ice Pirates Crimmitschau.
