The Fehlchesbach , also called Bach vom Hofmanns Weiher , is an approximately one and a half kilometer long left and south tributary of the Wied in the Rhineland-Palatinate Westerwaldkreis .

The Fehlchesbach rises at an altitude of about 421  m above sea level. NN south of the Hofmannsweiher in a coniferous forest. It first flows about 250 meters in a north-easterly direction through forest and then joins a second, somewhat smaller source branch, which flows towards it south-east of the Merlingerwiese on its left. A good two hundred and fifty meters downstream, the Fehlchesbach backs up to the Hofmannweiher . The stream leaves the pond in a north-westerly direction and now runs through fields and meadows. In the corridor in Fehlcheswiese it finally flows southwest of Schmidthahn at an altitude of about 383  m above sea level. NN from the left into the Wied .
