Felix Belczyk (born August 11, 1961 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a retired Canadian ski racer . He was a member of the Canadian national ski team from 1982 to 1992. In 1988 he was the first North American to win a World Cup race in the Super-G .

Belczyk competed in his first World Cup race in January 1986. In the tradition of the Crazy Canucks , he limited himself to starts in descents and Super-Gs. Overall, he was in the top ten 15 times in the course of his career. He celebrated the only World Cup victory in January 1988 in the Super-G in Leukerbad .

Belczyk was a member of the Canadian Olympic team in 1988 and 1992 and competed in World Ski Championships in 1985 , 1987 , 1989 and 1991 . He won two Canadian championships (Super-G 1989, Downhill 1990). He also took part in the Pan American Games in Las Leñas in September 1990 .
