Felix Butzlaff

Felix Butzlaff (born November 25, 1981 in Celle , Lower Saxony ) is a German political scientist .

Life

Felix Butzlaff studied political science , economics and international law from 2002 to 2008 at the Georg-August University in Göttingen (MA) and at the Universidad de Chile . From 2008 to 2016 he was a research assistant at the Göttingen Institute for Democracy Research , where he did his doctorate with a thesis on citizen protests in Germany. In 2011 he also became editor of INDES - magazine for politics and society . Since 2016 he has been assistant professor at the Institute for Social Change and Sustainability (IGN) Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien .

Butzlaff researches the past and present of the German and European labor movement as well as the developments of the European citizen protests and what these mean for the representative democracies.
