Lars Geiges

Lars Geiges (born October 30, 1981 in Rinteln ) is a German political scientist and journalist .

Life

After attending the Ernestinum Rinteln grammar school , he studied political science and sports science at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and in Italy from 2002 to 2007 . From 2007 to 2009 he did an internship at the daily newspaper Magdeburger Volksstimme . As a freelance journalist, he worked for Spiegel Online , Zeit Online and taz , among others .

Since 2011 he has been a research assistant at the Göttingen Institute for Democracy Research and editor of INDES - Journal for Politics and Society . Geiges was at Samuel Salzborn with a thesis on Occupy Germany for Dr. disc. pole. PhD . Among other things, he conducts research in the field of attitude, protest and movement research, and sports history.
