Elofsson, who starts for Landskrona SC, took part in the European Cup for the first time in Kungsberget in March 2011 and finished 15th in the Dual Moguls competition. He made his debut in the World Cup in March 2012 in Åre , which he finished in 36th place in the Moguls and Dual Moguls. In the 2013/14 season he achieved third place in the Moguls discipline of the European Cup with nine top ten placements. At the Junior World Championships in 2014 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he finished 21st in the Moguls and 17th in the Dual Moguls and the following year 23rd place in the Moguls and eighth in the Dual Moguls. In January 2015 he came 34th in the Moguls and 26th in the Dual Moguls at the World Championships on Kreischberg . The following year he was in Funäsdalen Swedish champion in the Dual Moguls. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he took 24th place in the Moguls competition and at the 2019 Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Park City, he came 23rd in the Moguls and 19th in the Dual-Moguls. In the 2019/20 season, he finished in the top ten three times in ten World Cup starts. He achieved his first podium in the World Cup with third place in the Moguls competition at Deer Valley Resort and tenth place in the Moguls World Cup at the end of the season.
His younger brother Oskar is also active as a freestyle skier.
