Felix Herzenbruch (born August 8, 1992 in Wuppertal ) is a German football player who is mainly used as a left-back and is under contract with Rot-Weiss Essen .
Career
Felix Herzenbruch was born and raised in Wuppertal. His first youth club was the local SV Jägerhaus Linde , for which he was active up to the D youth. After his youth team had disbanded, he joined the most important football club in Wuppertal, the Wuppertaler SV . There he was accepted into the squad of the first team that played in the Regionalliga West at the time after nine years in youth . After two years and 45 league games, in the summer of 2013, Herzenbruch switched to league rivals Rot-Weiß Oberhausen after Wuppertaler SV had to relegate to the league due to bankruptcy.
From 2013 to 2016 he was a regular in the regional league team of Rot-Weiß Oberhausen before he moved to the third division for the second division SC Paderborn 07 in the 2016/17 season, with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga two years later .
For the 2019/20 regional league season , the defender went to Rot-Weiss Essen after his contract was terminated . After three regional league games and a state cup game, the Essenes awarded him to the league competitor Oberhausen, for whom the defender had already been active for three years in the past, until the end of the season.
