Felix Mettler

Felix Mettler (born November 21, 1945 in Adliswil in the canton of Zurich ; † March 6, 2019 in Teufen AR in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden ) was a Swiss writer .

Mettler studied veterinary medicine and worked for several years as a senior assistant at the Institute for Veterinary Pathology at the University of Zurich . His novels were z. Sometimes published several times, including by Fischer Taschenbuch Verlag . His first work, The Boar , was translated into English and Italian. The novel also served as the basis for the film Death of a Boar (2006) with Joachim Król . Felix Mettler lived in Teufen AR .
