The Roimund Castle , also Raimund (German Roynungen , popularly also Runenburg ) is located near Jítrava ( Pankratz ) in the Jeschkengebirge ( Ještědsky hřbet ) in the Czech Republic . Only a few parts of the outer walls of the medieval castle are preserved today.
history
Roimund was founded in 1347 by the Counts of Dohna . Johann von Wartenberg acquired the complex in 1414. In 1447 the castle was conquered and destroyed by the troops of the Lusatian six-city league . In 1460 Roimund is mentioned as desolate.
