Felix Vierhaus

Felix Vierhaus (* 1850 in Cologne ; † October 14, 1917 in Breslau ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Vierhaus, whose father Friedrich Wilhelm Otto Herrmann Vierhaus was also President of the Higher Regional Court of Kiel between 1879 and 1887 , began studying law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and continued this at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , the Universität Leipzig as well of the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . Vierhaus put his promotion to Doctor of Law from 1870 and entered in the judicial service of Prussia . In 1875 he became a judge and in 1876 a district judge in Kassel . In 1879 he moved to Hanover Regional Court and in 1883 to Berlin, where in 1885 as Councilor Laborers in Reichsjustizamt was.

In 1887 Vierhaus was appointed higher regional judge at the higher regional court in Kassel and in 1891 lecturer at the Prussian Ministry of Justice, where in 1894 he was promoted to the secret higher justice council. As such, he also became a member of the Judicial Examination Commission in 1895 and an honorary professor at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin in 1901 and an honorary professor at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel in 1904 . In 1904 he replaced Max Beseler as President of the Higher Regional Court in Kiel , but was replaced by Peter Spahn in 1905 . In 1905 he himself became a secret senior judicial officer and again, as the successor to Max Beseler, president of the Breslau Higher Regional Court . Vierhaus, who, along with Max Schultzenstein, was also the editor of the journal for German civil proceedings and proceedings in matters of voluntary jurisdiction founded by Hermann Busch held this post until his death on October 14, 1917. His successor was Max Witte in 1918 .
