Fell is a cadastral municipality in the Steinfeld municipality in the Spittal an der Drau district in Carinthia . The main town is Fellbach .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 119 building areas with 48,089 m² and 101 gardens on 84,573 m² in the cadastral municipality of Fell , in 1989/1990 there were 118 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 306 and in 2009/2010 there were 192 buildings on 311 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 319 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 1906 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 321 hectares and 2257 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 294 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 2279 hectares. The average soil climate number of Fell is 33.8 (as of 2010).

history

The main town Fellbach has been the seat of an iron hammer since early modern times . When this industry was no longer profitable in the second half of the 19th century, a cardboard factory was built on site.

The cadastral community of Fell has been part of the Steinfeld community since 1850 .
