Russula subsect. Felleinae is a subsection of the genus Russula , which within the section Russula sect. Russula is standing.

features

The subsection contains medium to large species with a blunt-brimmed hat. The hat colors are dull, ocher yellow to dark gray. The edge of the hat is smooth and only slightly grooved with age. The stem is full, but often soft and fragile. The smell is never foul, the hat skin is never slimy. The spore powder is white to cream in color. All representatives taste hot. Membrane pigments are often difficult to determine. Due to micro-characteristics, this group forms a transition to Fragiles and Lilaceae . All types are inedible.

Systematics

Following Romagnesi , Singer and Sarnari and the fur line place as a subsection in the Ingratae section and as a section in the Ingratula sub- genus . Bon, on the other hand, places the taxon in the Russula section , as the hat skin differs significantly from that which is usual in the Ingratae section . In contrast to the representatives of the Ingratae , the Gall-Täubling as a type species contains cylindrical, elongated and multicellular gloeoplere Pileocystiden . They also differ significantly in their mycorrhizal anatomy. This classification is also supported by molecular work. Bon places the lemon peeling ( R. ochroleuca ) in the Ochroleucinae subsection , only with Singer it remains in the Fellinae subsection .
