The Felsenberg Arena is a football stadium in the Baden-Württemberg community of Schwieberdingen in the Ludwigsburg district . It holds around 5,000 spectators, including 600 covered seats on the main grandstand. The stadium is the home of the former upper division soccer and fistball division TSV Schwieberdingen .
history
Since the old sports field on Markgröninger Strasse was less and less able to meet the demands of a modern football stadium, plans were drawn up for a multifunctional arena on Lüssenweg west of the previous venue as early as the early 1990s. In 2002, another football pitch was built on Lüssenweg, which was expanded in a second construction phase in 2005/06 to include a spectator stand with changing, functional and sanitary facilities. The construction costs for the Felsenberg-Arena amounted to a total of 2.9 million euros after completion . When it was officially inaugurated for the centenary of the TSV Schwieberdingen club in 2006, it was the largest and most modern stadium in the Strohgäu .
In the immediate vicinity of the Felsenberg Arena there is another grass pitch and an artificial grass pitch on the old sports grounds, which are used for training and youth games.
