The Fenrir Valley is a small and mostly ice-free valley in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range , it lies between the upper sections of the Heimdall and Rhone glaciers .
In 1976, following a joint decision by the New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee and the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names, the valley, like numerous other objects in the Asgard Range, received a name from Norse mythology . Namesake is Fenrir , the wolf chained by the god Tyr .
