Ferdinand Groß (singer)
Ferdinand Groß ( May 8, 1835 in Vienna - 1909 in Kassel ) was an Austrian opera singer ( tenor ) and theater director .
Life
Large, originally intended to be a businessman, was by Giovanni Gentiluomo trained was 1858 in Olomouc , from 1859 to 1861 in Pressburg , 1861 in Brno , 1862-1864 in Graz , then again in Brno, 1865-1872 in Leipzig , 1872 in Rotterdam , from 1873 to 1876 in Frankfurt am Main and again in Rotterdam. He also worked as a game master and director.
Then he withdrew into private life.
His son was the opera singer Carl Gross .
