Ferdinand Maks Scheriau

Ferdinand Maks Scheriau (born March 23, 1918 in Naklo ; † March 13, 2012 in Bodenwerder ) was a German university professor , architect , artist , writer and philosopher .

Life

Ferdinand Maks Scheriau, called Nante, grew up in the Rosental (Carinthia) . Due to his good performance, he was transferred to an elite school in Liebenau (Graz) in 1928 . After the boarding school was closed for political reasons, he was able to pass his Matura in Traiskirchen near Vienna in 1936 . From 1937 to 1945 he studied architecture at the Technical University of Karlsruhe , interrupted from 1939 to 1943 by the Second World War . In 1937 he became a member of the Egerland Comradeship (now the Teutonia fraternity ).

After a time in Austria, he first worked as an architect. From 1956 he became a lecturer and later professor at the Hildesheim-Holzminden University of Applied Sciences .

In addition to his professional activity, Scheriau was involved as an architect, artist, writer and philosopher. His works have been exhibited several times in Germany and abroad, as well as in the Kunstkreis Holzminden, which he co-founded.
