Ferdinand Mauler

Ferdinand Mauler (born January 14, 1914 in Böhmisch-Liebau , † February 21, 1982 in Rosenheim ) was a German politician ( SPD , later CSU ).

After attending the elementary and community school, Mauler completed a three-year apprenticeship as a gardener and then attended the horticultural school in Weihenstephan . He worked as a gardener until he was called up for active military service. He worked in the Czechoslovak Army until 1938, after his release he was employed by the labor service and the Wehrmacht, from which he was released in March 1945 as a severely disabled person. He then worked for a local authority until he and his family were expelled in 1946, they found a new place to stay in Flintsbach am Inn -Fischbach in the Rosenheim district . Ferdinand Mauler was now employed as a porter and draftsman before he became party secretary of the SPD in the sub-district of Rosenheim in 1951. As early as 1948 he got into politics, was municipal, town and district councilor as well as second mayor, and also volunteered in various social organizations. From 1958 to 1970 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . In 1972 he moved from the SPD to the CSU. Mauler was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on June 9, 1969 .
