Ferdinand Sabathil
Ferdinand Sabathil (born November 11, 1856 in Sangerberg , † October 6, 1937 in Graz ) was an Austrian flautist and composer .
Sabathil studied at the Prague Conservatory with Vilém Blodek . After a stopover in Saaz, he worked as the first flutist in the Schwerin court orchestra from 1882 .
As a composer, he left around 400 pieces of mostly salon-like character, mainly dedicated to the flute , including the concert polka Le Canari op.29, the waltz Karlsbader Sprudelgeister op.39 , the concert polka Memories of Monte Carlo op.154 and the concert piece for flute and piano Mein Lied op.334.
