Ferdinand Stark

Ferdinand Stark (born June 30, 1926 in Trier ; † October 27, 2001 ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Stark was born the son of a college teacher. After graduating from high school, he began studying law, which he completed with two state exams. Since his studies he was a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Ketteler Mainz. Later he was managing director of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft des Grundbesitz in Rhineland-Palatinate and managing director of the Association for the Maintenance and Protection of Monuments in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Stark was a council member of the city ​​of Mainz from 1964 to 1979 .

Public offices

Stark has been State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Viticulture and Forests of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate since 1979 . Since he did not ask any critical questions after the " glycol wine scandal " that became known in July 1985 , he was dismissed from office a month later by Agriculture Minister Dieter Ziegler .
