Ferdinand Steiner
Ferdinand Steiner (born December 4, 1970 in Aichkirchen , Austria ) is a clarinetist . He is solo clarinetist in the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg .
Training and engagements
Steiner studied at the Music University in Vienna with Peter Schmidl , Johann Hindler and Ernst Ottensamer . He passed the diploma examination with distinction. He then began postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Alois Brandhofer .
He played in many orchestras as a temporary worker, such as B. with the Vienna Philharmonic , the Vienna State Opera , the Berlin Philharmonic .
He regularly plays as a guest on the solo clarinet in the Camerata Salzburg .

Steiner plays among other things on a basset clarinet ; Built for him by the company Othmar Hammerschmidt in Wattens, Tyrol. He is constantly developing the instrument further in order to achieve the best possible sound for the clarinet concerto by WA Mozart, KV 622.
