Ferdinand of Angern
Ferdinand Ludwig Friedrich von Angern , also Ludolph or Ludolf von Angern , (born February 12, 1757 in Magdeburg , † February 8, 1828 in Sülldorf ) was a German politician . He was the Prussian Minister of State and Finance.
Life
Ferdinand von Angern is the son of District Administrator Gebhard Rudolf Friedrich Ludolf von Angern, who was District Administrator of Holzkreis I in the Duchy of Magdeburg from 1764 until his death in 1791 and belonged to the noble family of Angern . In 1777 Ludolph began his civil service career at the War and Domain Chamber in Magdeburg. In 1782 he moved to Berlin , where he was appointed Chief Finance Councilor in 1794. In 1796 he returned to Magdeburg as President of the Chamber. Seven years later, in 1803, he was appointed royal Prussian state and finance minister to King Friedrich Wilhelm III. Appointed from Prussia to Berlin. In 1807 he was released. On his estate in Sülldorf near Magdeburg, he spent his twilight years and worked a.o. a. with the manufacture of beet sugar.
family
On June 16, 1782 he married Caroline Dorothee Charlotte von Möllendorf . From this marriage eleven children were born, of which only two daughters married. With them, this branch of the Angern noble family died out.
