Ferenc Palánki (born March 11, 1964 in Balassagyarmat , Hungary ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Debrecen-Nyíregyháza .

Life

Ferenc Palánki was ordained a priest for the diocese of Vác on June 18, 1994 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 27, 2010 auxiliary bishop in Eger and titular bishop of Fidoloma . The Archbishop of Esztergom , Cardinal Péter Erdő , donated him episcopal ordination on February 26, 2011 ; Co- consecrators were the outgoing Apostolic Nuncio in Hungary, Juliusz Janusz , and Archbishop Csaba Ternyák of Eger.

On September 21, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Debrecen-Nyíregyháza. The inauguration took place on November 14th of the same year.
