Fernanda Cristina Ferreira (born January 10, 1980 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian volleyball player . She won the Olympic gold medal in 2012.

Career

Ferreira started her career in 2002 with Rio de Janeiro VC and went to EC Pinheiros a year later . From 2005 to 2007 she played one season each with Associação Desportiva Brusque and Osasco Voleibol Clube. She then moved to the Italian first division club Santeramo Sport. In 2008, the setter went to league competitor Yamamay Busto Arsizio . In 2010 she won the CEV Cup with the club . After this success she was signed by Pallavolo Modena . On December 16, 2011, Ferreira ended her time in Italy and at the beginning of 2012 went to Azerbaijan for half a year to join Igtisadchi Baku . She reached the final of the 2012 Grand Prix with the Brazilian national team . She then took part in the Olympic Games in London and won the gold medal with Brazil in the final against the USA . In the 2012/13 season, Ferreira will play again in her home country for Vôlei Amil .
