Fernando Azcárate y Freyre de Andrade SJ (born October 27, 1912 in Havana , Cuba , † July 29, 1998 ) was auxiliary bishop in San Cristóbal de la Habana .

Life

Fernando Azcárate y Freyre de Andrade joined the Congregation of the Jesuits in and received on 24 July 1950, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 17, 1964, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Cefala and ordered him auxiliary bishop in San Cristobal de la Habana. The Archbishop of San Cristóbal de la Habana, Evelio Díaz Cía , donated him episcopal ordination on May 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop of Matanzas , José Maximino Eusebio Domínguez y Rodríguez , and the auxiliary bishop of Camagüey , Adolfo Rodríguez Herrera .

On January 26, 1970 Fernando Azcárate y Freyre de Andrade resigned as auxiliary bishop in San Cristóbal de la Habana.
