Ferrara Duo

The Ferrara Duo  is a duo for  bassoon  and  guitar  from  Mannheim , consisting of Annina Holland-Moritz and Stefan Conradi. The duo interprets original works and arrangements from the  BaroqueClassicalRomantic  and Modern periods . The name Ferrara Duo refers to Canon Afranio to Ferrara , who in 1439 in the Italian city of Ferrara,  Phagotum , which was then mistakenly referred to as a precursor of the bassoon instrument, invented. The Ferrara Duo gives concerts at home and abroad, released their first CD in 2015 and also works as the  publisher of  various sheet music editions for the bassoon and guitar lineup. So far, sheet music by  Georg Philipp TelemannCarl Maria von WeberScott Joplin and Claude Debussy have been  published.

Annina Holland-Moritz, born in Mannheim in 1967, attended the musical branch of the Mollgymnasium Mannheim and graduated with a high-level music course. From the age of seven she received piano lessons. She began playing the bassoon at the age of eleven with Emil Schmitt ( Nationaltheater Mannheim ). At the  Dr. At Hoch's Conservatory  in Frankfurt am Main, she studied bassoon with Klaus Grimm ( Staatstheater Mainz ) and graduated as a state-certified music teacher. Annina Holland-Moritz teaches bassoon at various music schools and plays in various orchestras. She also  completed a degree in music therapy at the SRH University in Heidelberg  and published her master's thesis on "Post-traumatic stress disorders in police officers".

Stefan Conradi, born in 1960 in  Istanbul  , received his first guitar lessons from Fritz Mühlhölzer in  Freiburg  and in 1981 won a prize at the “ Jugend musiziert ” competition. He completed his studies at the  Karlsruhe University of Music  in the summer of 1987 with Wilhelm Bruck. After completing his studies at the  University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna  , Stefan Conradi has been working for Edition Peters for many years   , where he is responsible for contemporary music. He plays in various ensembles and orchestras as a guitarist and double bass player.
