Ferri Abolhassan

Ferri Abolhassan (born July 29, 1964 in Saarbrücken ) is a German computer scientist with a doctorate and publisher of specialist literature on IT and management topics. Abolhassan is a member of the management team at Telekom Deutschland GmbH, where he is responsible for the service division.

education and profession

Growing up in Saarbrücken, the son of German-Persian parents studied computer science at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken from 1985 to 1988 after graduating from high school . His professional start in 1987 in research and development at Siemens in Munich was followed by a position at IBM in San Jose, USA , from 1989 to 1991 . In 1992 Abolhassan did his doctorate with Wolfgang Paul .

SAP & IDS Scheer

In 1992 Abolhassan moved to the software manufacturer SAP , where he held various management positions until 2001, initially as Sales Director Retail and finally as Senior Vice President of the global Retail Solutions business unit. After 4 years in the management of IDS Scheer as Co-CEO and Co-Chairman responsible for sales, marketing and internationalization, Abolhassan returned to SAP in 2005. Following his position as Chief Operating Officer EMEA, he held the position of Regional Managing Director South-West Europe and most recently that of Executive Vice President Large Enterprise EMEA.

T-Systems

In 2008, Abolhassan joined T-Systems as a member of the management team , where he took over the Systems Integration division. From 2010, Abolhassan was in charge of production until he was responsible for all delivery in 2013. From 2015 he headed the IT division with around 30,000 employees and 4,000 customers. From December 2015 to November 2016, Abolhassan was also responsible for setting up the Telekom Security division. The new unit bundles all security areas in the Deutsche Telekom Group.

Telekom Germany

In October 2016, Abolhassan joined Telekom Deutschland GmbH as a member of the management team. There he was responsible for the newly created Service Transformation division. In April 2017 he became Managing Director of Deutsche Telekom Customer Service GmbH (DTKS), which changed its name to Deutsche Telekom Service GmbH (DTS) on July 1, became Managing Director of Deutsche Telekom Technischer Service GmbH (DTTS), and since July 1, 2017 of Deutsche Telekom Field Service GmbH (DTA). With the merging of all service areas under one roof on July 1, 2017, Abolhassan, as Managing Director Service at Telekom Deutschland, took on overall responsibility for customer service with around 33,000 employees. Abolhassan is also a member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Telekom IT GmbH.

Abolhassan has been active in the digitization council of the Saarland state government since August 2016. In addition to Abolhassan, the Prime Minister's personal advisory committee on all issues relating to digitization includes other experts from various areas - the digitization council has a total of seven members:

Private

Abolhassan is married to Katja Wegmann. He is a passionate endurance athlete, successfully completed 25 marathons and five Ironman . In addition, as a Saarland ambassador, he volunteers for a positive image of the Saarland.
